I-WATCH WEEKLY DIGEST

ABOUT I-WATCH

Since 2004, I-Watch, a weekly electronic news digest, has been devoted to news on animal use issues that impact Ag and Food stakeholders.  And today, I-Watch remains the only service of its kind in Canada.

Associations and businesses recognize the power of the press and the importance of monitoring the news. Whether it’s for issues management, customer or member relations, or marketing purposes, organizations need to know about the issues that will or could affect them.

Yet, monitoring the news is becoming increasingly complex. With the ever expanding Internet along with traditional print and broadcast reporting there is more to monitor than ever before.

And collecting the news is only half the job. Sharing information is just as important in order to keep those within an organization or sector informed and prepared.

While most businesses and associations have a means to distribute news, gathering it is a time consuming and often costly process. This can put it out of reach for those with limited resources.

What I-Watch has over other electronic news digests

Not your typical news digest: Includes more than just what the press report. Unlike traditional media clipping and reporting services, I-Watch includes un-reported information gathered through extensive research and a wide ranging information network.

  • Focused content: Geared to the agriculture and food community, I-Watch covers animal use issues and activities collected through continuous monitoring.

  • Comprehensive: The only e-news digest compiled from multiple sources, edited to provide comprehensive information in a single report item. I-Watch does the information digging and synthesis for you.

  • Select and Informed: Edited by a recognized Canadian expert on animal issues, I-Watch filters the news to items of importance and significance. Additional source information and informed explanations are also provided.

  • Specially designed:  I-Watch is a serial publication. It is designed to allow for quick referencing and to help identify emerging issues, trends and patterns. The e-mail format makes it an easily searchable document, using key words, when saved in your e-mail filing system (recommended). This allows subscribers to find pertinent information anytime the need arises.

  • Multi-purposed: By including a wide scan of all animal dependent communities and relevant sectors, I-Watch can serve as an “early warning” or “first alert” system, an information reference, or as a supplement to other news gathering services and information providers.
